Winston McWhirt, LMHC
My practice in Seattle is founded on my training in Existential Phenomenological Psychotherapy at Seattle University, an approach that places importance on direct experience and the way individuals create meaning in their lives. Alongside concepts from Internal Family Systems therapy and Somatic Focusing, I work to deepen self-understanding, enhance resilience, and foster confidence.
I specialize in assisting adults and teenagers facing anxiety, depression, productivity-related burnout, and relationship issues. As an LGBTQ+ and trans-affirming therapist, I value and respect the unique identities of all my clients.
My aim is to facilitate a deeper understanding of yourself, help you to recognize the influence of past experiences on your present and guide you towards an authentic way of being. Together, we can explore not only the immediate challenges but also uncover the underlying aspects that may be contributing to them.
The way we perceive ourselves and others can often be at the core of our difficulties. If this resonates with you, I invite you to take the first step and reach out. Let's begin a conversation about your experience and what it could mean for you to feel better.
